Debut post!

Hi everyone! As you know (because you’re all my biggest fans), I’ve been almost totally offline lately to focus on uni stuff. If you’ve been wondering, I was supposed to graduate last year but life events have put a hamper on that. Boom, new lore, extra extra tell your friends.

In the meantime though… I finally learned why people have preset “study/schoolwork” times. So you don’t go insane! Why, I never considered. No seriously. I never really applied myself until college so my study habits are genuinely nonexistent. This is not a brag, I keep accidentally reinventing the wheel. I really can’t complaint this far in though, so it is what it is. I’m pretty commited to just not talking to anyone still so in my off-hours I’ve been focusing on my other hobbies…

One of them being web development! So here we are. I cannot thank whoever wrote this post enough!!!! Hugo was always my planned SSG since I already knew Go but the docs were hard for me to wrap my head around. The guide finally got me the rest of the way through. I’m deploying on ATproto’s wisp.place instead of neocities/nekoweb though! If you’re into ATproto and stuff I think it’s a worthwhile move.

If you’ve looked closely on the homepage, I have another Bandori-related web project in the making that I haven’t loudly announced yet (and I won’t be for a while still), so I’m refreshing my HTML/CSS/JS fundamentals to prepare and finalize it for release. I’ve been going through The Odin Project’s open source basics course and it’s been soooo helpful, I really recommend going through it if you’re interested in webdev yourself. I think it’s a good hobby to have!

I’ve been baking more lately as well! I’m growing a sourdough starter these days. It’s actually pretty simple and forgiving, if a little long. I hope I actually remember to bake in 2 weeks’ time? I’ve been getting into task management/productivity apps lately but I feel like that’d be inane to write about so you’re not getting it. Sorry. Here is tonight’s progress (day 3):

That should be it, I think. Back to writing papers, papers, and more papers. I’ve watched more movies and read more novels that I don’t particularly care about than I have in my entire life. Wish me luck. I do consider this a bit of a stress retreat from online still TBH! It’s the good kind of stress.
